14 projects replace Jira, the issue tracker. 14 shipped code in the last 30 days.
Jira is priced per user, and the bill grows with every contractor or support agent who needs to see a ticket. Atlassian ended its self-hosted Server edition in 2024, so most teams are now on its cloud. Many also leave because fields and workflows pile up until a small change needs an admin.
Plane is the most direct replacement, with issues, cycles and modules laid out much like Jira. OpenProject suits teams that need Gantt charts and time tracking next to agile boards. Redmine is older and plainer, but it has run on company servers for years with little fuss. Huly bundles issues with chat and docs if you want one tool instead of three.
