Ardour

What it replaces

Logic Pro

Record audio and MIDI, arrange and edit local tracks, and mix and export a local music production

Ardour's source code is free, but requires building it yourself; official full ready-to-run binaries require payment, while the free/demo is a separate download. This is not a gratis full-installer recommendation. This mapping covers local recording, editing and mixing only; it does not establish Logic Pro bundled-instrument-library, Live Loops, native-project or plugin parity, or guarantee audio fidelity or performance.
