Rectangle

What it replaces

Magnet

Position and resize windows into halves, quarters or thirds with keyboard shortcuts or drag-to-edge snapping

Applications can enforce a minimum window size; Rectangle cannot override it, so some requested layouts may overlap or not fit. Free Rectangle cannot move windows between desktops/Spaces. This comparison does not establish saved app-specific workspace restoration or every Magnet behavior.
